I gave been hoping to find a Great Gray Owl nest this spring and photograph the chicks. With the extraordinary number of great grays this year, I have lots of hope.  The picture below is of the first great gray I ever shot (a couple of months ago) and I hadn't seen him for three weeks. I thought he had moved on, deeper into the forest where I can't find him.  But last night, there he was. Still in the area. I think it's almost nesting time... [simage=951,max,n,center,]
